At All4One Farms, one of the premier wedding venues in Jacksonville, every wedding we host becomes a unique and cherished event. On September 9th, we were delighted to host the reception for Kalina and Jackson after their ceremony at a church in Arlington. Their reception perfectly combined a family reunion with a wedding celebration, creating a truly unforgettable experience for all who attended.
Thoughtful Guest Comfort
Kalina and Jackson prioritized their guests’ comfort, especially those traveling from out of town. The couple thoughtfully rented buses to transport everyone from the church to All4One Farms, allowing guests to relax, avoid navigating unfamiliar roads, and enjoy the company of family and friends during the journey. This considerate planning made a positive impact on everyone’s experience, ensuring they arrived refreshed and ready to celebrate.
Despite the warm weather, the atmosphere was lively and joyful. One funny moment happened when someone accidentally left the gate to our horse field open. Our friendly horse, Twiggy, briefly wandered out to explore! Fortunately, she didn’t go far and was quickly brought back to her field, adding a charming, lighthearted memory to the day.
A Unique, Reunion-Style Cocktail Hour
One of the highlights of the Reichert/Burns wedding was their decision to create a family reunion-like atmosphere during the cocktail hour. Typically, we suggest keeping this part of the reception to about an hour, but Kalina had a different vision. She knew that her family and friends hadn’t seen each other in years and wanted to extend the cocktail hour so that everyone could reconnect.
The couple set up outdoor seating, games, and snacks, offering guests the chance to relax, enjoy refreshments, and catch up with one another. As I observed from the edge of the festivities, I was struck by how thoughtful Kalina and Jackson were in understanding their guests’ needs. The extended cocktail hour was a huge success, creating a warm, family-centered environment that set the tone for the rest of the celebration.
This approach offers a great example to other couples: don’t feel tied to traditional wedding timelines. Personalize your day to reflect your vision and the needs of your loved ones.
Special Touches and Smooth Planning
The couple also included personal elements that reflected their love of animals, particularly horses. Kalina and Jackson took the opportunity to walk in the pasture with our horses, capturing some beautiful photos and creating lasting memories. Jackson, in particular, enjoyed the horses, adding another layer of uniqueness to their special day.
