I’m Diane, and along with my husband Glenn, I own All4One Farms, an outdoor wedding venue just outside Jacksonville. Every year around this time, I start fielding the same question from couples touring our farm: “Is fall actually a good time to get married here?” After hosting hundreds of weddings on this land, my answer is always the same — fall might be my favorite season of all for a North Florida wedding, and I want to tell you why.
The Heat Finally Breaks
If you’ve spent a summer in North Florida, you know the humidity doesn’t ease up easily. By late September and into October, though, something shifts. The evenings start to cool, the air feels lighter, and standing outside for a ceremony no longer means fanning yourself with the program. For an outdoor wedding venue like ours, that shift matters. Guests are more comfortable, photos look less flushed and sweaty, and everyone — from the flower girl to your grandmother — can actually enjoy being outside.
The Light Gets Better
There’s a reason photographers talk about “golden hour” like it’s sacred. In fall, that golden light stretches longer and softer across our fields, filtering through the oak trees in a way that’s hard to describe until you’ve seen it in person. Sunsets come earlier, which means your reception can move seamlessly from daylight into string lights without anyone watching the clock. If you’ve been dreaming of that warm, glowing wedding album, fall does a lot of the work for you.
Fall Is Also One of Our Busiest Seasons — For Good Reason
October and November are consistently two of our most popular months here at All4One Farms, and it’s not a coincidence. Couples want that comfortable weather and that golden light, and they’re willing to plan ahead to get it. We’re currently booking into 2027, and if a fall date is calling to you, I’d encourage you not to wait too long to reach out — these months tend to fill first.
A Season That Matches Our Setting
All4One Farms has been a working farm since 1969, long before Glenn and I ever hosted a wedding here. There’s something about that history that feels especially at home in fall — the oaks, the open fields, the quieter rhythm of the land as the year winds down. We’ve hosted hundreds of weddings since 2017, and I’ve noticed that fall ceremonies tend to have a particular kind of ease to them. Maybe it’s the weather. Maybe it’s just that everyone, guests included, seems a little more relaxed once the heat lifts.
What Fall Weddings Look Like Here
A few things I love watching unfold each fall on our property:
- Ceremonies under the oaks with just enough breeze to move the leaves without disturbing a single hairpin
- Cocktail hour on the back lawn as the late afternoon light turns everything a little golden
- Receptions in our open-air barn that feel just as magical whether the string lights are the main event or just a backdrop to a clear, starry sky
- Guests who actually want to stay out by the fence with the horses or by the fire pit instead of rushing back into the barn

Practical Fall Wedding Tips
If a fall date is on your mind, here are a few things worth planning around:
- Book early. October and November are two of our most requested months, and availability moves fast.
- Plan for warm days, cool nights. Early fall in North Florida can still be warm during the day, so consider timing your ceremony for late afternoon to catch the cooler evening air.
- Lean into the season. Rich, warm color palettes and simple greenery tend to look stunning against our oaks and open fields this time of year.
- Ask about our large décor pieces. Our cedar arch and cedar cross look especially beautiful with the softer fall light behind them.
